On October 28 members and friends joined in a joyous celebration of God’s generosity, consecrating pledges for our 2019 ministry together. We have so far received 78 pledges for a total of $238,226! That means we are more than half-way to our “best case budget” of $450,000 which would include a full time Associate Pastor, outreach programs via our Mission and Service Board, and all that we need to provide curriculum, staff, and love for the ministry of Christ at Union Church.
It’s Never To Late to Live Generously!
Our goal this year was to have over 100 pledges, regardless of the amount, and to increase the number of friends using an auto-deduction program. And it’s not too late to meet our goals by December! You can send in a pledge card any time to join in the effort to make God’s love visible and vital. You can also pledge online with one simple click: www.union-church.org/donate/Pledge2019. Your gift, large or small, helps us plan carefully, pray with our actions and programs, and offers inspiration in word and work. To do Christ’s work well we need all of us working together, so thanks in advance for joining in.
And automated giving is another great way to help. Auto deductions from your bank are free, and always make sure your pledge is doing the good work it’s supposed to. You can do it through your bank, or by using Union Church’s EasyTithe system. We have over 34 families using EasyTithe and we’d like to see if we can get at least 10 more to try it. That way, the church has steady income and you never have to worry about forgetting your checkbook!
In all you do, thank you for generously and lovingly embodying the life and ministry of Christ. As individuals, as a church, we are together speaking “Love” to a world in need.
