Report from Finance Board

2020 Budget
Following the annual budget meeting December 8, where we listened and received your wishes and direction, the Church Council met on December 16. Council made these alterations to the 2020 Budget:

• Income: $45,500 was added thanks to two anonymous donors!
• We added line items to the Office Administrator’s compensation and restored those same lines to the Pastor offering dental, life and disability insurances, in an effort to offer equity.
• Temporary staff was increased by $2,000 raising that to $12,000 still lower than the $20,000 in the 2019 budget
• We restored some of the funding for working with consultants for financial and communication assistance. This is line item 6205 and is now called Fundraising/Media Consultant.
• Maintenance of the building was increased by $1,000.
• The request for increased funds for the youth program was increased by $1,000
• We increased the rate we fund Mission Outreach and this increased the amount the Mission & Service Board will have next year at their disposal by nearly $5,000.

With these changes we now have a surplus budget of $9,983.
