Good News!
Our sanctuary refurbishment is not quite done, but it’s ready for Sunday Morning Worship THIS WEEK! The floors and carpets are done, as is the painting and the pews are in their new angled arrangement. Yet to be completed is replacement of the front stairs and new pew racks, but that work will be done by Sept 21, when we’ll hold a grand reopening celebration, complete with an organ concert by Gabe Evans, our director of Music Ministries.
You can Help…Bring a Screwdriver to Church
In order to install the new pew racks, the old ones need to come off. If you have one or more narrow flat-head screwdrivers, bring it with you to Sunday worship. After the service, we can each remove one or two of the racks in our rows, and the work will be done! New racks will be installed by local craftsman, Steve Farmer later in the week.
Donate a Pew Rack In Honor of Someone Who Has Made A Difference to You:
A $50 donation will cover the cost of a 4’ section of pew rack. Donations made in honor or in memory of persons will be recorded on a special framed “map” so we can celebrate God’s work in and through their lives. There are still undesignated pew racks available. You can donate online at https://union-church.org/donate-hymnal-racks-in-honor-of-people-you-love/, or send a check to Union Church with “pew racks” in the memo line. Call or email the office to let us know who you would like to recognize.
Thanks to all who have helped improve our space. See you Sunday at 10:30 in the Main Sanctuary!
In gratitude,
Rev. Kent H. Gilbert

For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”
