On Sunday, December 13, 2015, members and friends of Union Church stood together to send a message to new Kentucky Governor, Matt Bevin. The plight of millions of refugees in the world, and especially those Syrian families hoping for a safe home. Those who signed the letter and posed for the picture believe that welcoming the stranger is a moral imperative based on the teachings of Jesus. We choose welcome and hope that all Kentuckians will pitch in to love our neighbors.
Here’s our open letter and it includes 4 pages of signatures. May peace and charity prevail.
