Properties
- This summer has been busy around the church -we’re getting building projects done. We finally were able to find LED light bulbs to replace the main sanctuary light fixtures bulbs that were formerly compact florescent bulbs. This has been an involved project and we appreciate your patience as we worked to brighter our sanctuary and lower our energy consumption as well
- We were also able to get the front porch repaired. The top layer of concrete had been deteriorating and determining the best repair took some time and many conversations with concrete contractors. This spring we contracted with Wilson Concrete to get the job done and we are pleased that it is completed.
- We also have a number of projects in the works. We are still working on getting an AED. An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a device that checks a person’s heart and delivers an electric shock if it has stopped beating normally. After this project was approved by Church Council some time ago, we learned that we needed a policy that is reviewed by a doctor, so this has slowed us down, but we hope to have this project completed soon.
- Other approved projects are a dedicated projector for the community room, two new water fountains with bottle filling stations, and a new fingerprint activated entry for the choir room to assist the many people who use this space and also keep it secure.
