Beloveds, we are devastated by the hurt wrought on so many black churches in the South this week. We are praying and talking and planning on what actions we can take to help not only these specific churches, but all who experience the devastation and fear of racism.
In the meantime, here’s something we all can do. The National Council of Churches, of which Union Church is a member, had a fund in the 1990s to support the rebuilding of churches damaged by hate. In the wake of the latest round of arson, they have decided to do it again. If you would like to give to help the resurrection of these churches, please donate here:
