Berea College senior Sai Thiha reported on his experience as a summer Caux Scholar in Caux, Switzerland, studying conflict transformation in an international setting. The Union Church Mission and Service Board helped support his trip which focused on understanding the root causes of escalation in order to devise intervention strategies to arrive at mutually sustainable peace.
As a student from Burma, these issues had particular relevance for Said, in light of many current events in his home country (as it does in the US, as well.)
We hope and pray that all of us may learn these skills, and we thank Sai for investing in global peace.
