Rev. Rachel received word on Monday, June 9, that she has been selected as one 15 recipients of a 10-year leadership fellowship from the United Church of Christ. The UCC Pension Boards developed the “Next Generation Leadership Initiative” to encourage and support excellence in pastoral leadership nationwide.
Participants receive travel to 3-4 educational events per year on topics such as spiritual education, stewardship training, church leadership, pastoral care, theological convocations, and national meetings of the church. In addition to the fellowship and resource training, all NGLP fellows who complete the program receive a $10,000 contribution to their pension plan. We are proud and delighted (but not surprised) that Rev. Rachel was selected for this special group. May God bless her as she continues to bless us!

Rachel is the second Union Church pastor to receive this fellowship. Rev. Mark Pettis was selected to be in the pilot class of this program in 2010.
