This week our youth led us in a service inspired by one of the most basic texts of our faith: Micah 6:6-8. They were a powerful reminder of the importance of doing justice, lovingkindness, and walking humbly with our God. Here is a prayer they inspired:
God whom we worship with all our hearts, transform us to worship with our whole bodies. Lead us to live justly, to practice lovingkindness, and to walk humbly with you. May justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream, even if we are scared of what the consequences of such a thing might be. We trust in you, O God of grace and glory, to lead us into better lives. Amen.
