Berea Leadership Experience – Partner with Us!
Forming leaders who can successfully navigate the kinds of everyday conflicts we all experience.
Berea Leadership Experience is a powerful day camp led by a community collaboration of churches, non-profits, and government groups. Forty-eight campers, entering grades 2 to 8, joined the three summers before the pandemic to practice empathy and build connection through experiential learning.
Your $60 gift will make a weeklong camp experience possible for a child and support the important work of a local leader. Donations are processed through our partner, Union Church. Give online or via check to Union Church, 200 Prospect Street, Berea, KY 40403, with BLE in the memo line.
Sing Hallelujah! On Easter morning, March 31, it’s a wonderful Union Church tradition for all those who’d like to, to come up to the choir loft and join in singing the Hallelujah Chorus.
From Jeff Hutton: Here are a few updates that you might like to know about regarding our upcoming expedition to see the Solar Eclipse on April 8.
1. We are currently taking orders for printed T-shirts commemorating the event. These include images taken during the 2017 Union Church Eclipse Expedition to Hopkinsville, KY. Cost is $20 and these are a fundraiser for the church.
2. We have primary and ‘backup’ locations from which to view the eclipse.
· The primary site is Benedict Inn, located at 1402 Southern Ave., Beech Grove, IN 46107
· The secondary site is the Friends Meeting House located at 3820 E Moores Pike, Bloomington, IN 47401 (Thank You, David Duffee!)
3. In case you haven’t already found this site, I encourage you to visit the NASA solar eclipse website for more information about April 8th’s eclipse.
