Room in the Inn (RITI) Berea – nightly shelter for those experiencing homelessness began as the dream of a group of ordinary Bereans concerned that there were practically no services in our community for those experiencing homelessness. Today, RITI is still run by volunteers and is in the sixth season of providing temporary emergency shelter during the coldest part of the year in Berea, KY.
This year’s shelter began operation on Jan. 2. Nightly registration is from 5:15-6 pm at Union Church in Room 101, the room right next to the playground. Guests will be served a hot dinner during registration and will be given a sack breakfast and lunch to go. Guests are be sheltered at Motel 6, located at 1029 Cooper Dr.
We couldn’t do this without the support of many, many concerned citizens and we thank you for being a part of this year’s shelter program! mealtrain.com/trains/k0yrvr
