My husband and I moved to Berea five and a half years ago to semi-retire. One of the factors in our decision was a good church for me (he is not big on churchgoing). When we were looking for a home, I discovered Union Church and knew it was the place for me. Over time, he has come to enjoy some of the social opportunities at Union.
Did you have a similar experience in Berea? Do you love and miss Union Church? If so, you should know that our church needs help—financial help,that is. I am a member of the Union Church Finance Board and it truly pains me to say this, but it’s true. We need the help now, in 2019. That is the reason for this letter.
I am rethinking my pledge and urge you to do the same, if you have pledged. If you haven’t, and you appreciate how special our church is, please consider making one. If a one-time gift is more suitable to your situation, know that it would be greatly appreciated to further the work of Union Church.
