Thanks to the Berea College Campus Christian Center, the Music Department and the College Library Special Collections! A wonderful weekend of music was celebrated in our sanctuary this weekend. We give thanks to God for all the musicians and their directors, and the CCC ministers, student chaplains, and many support staff that make it possible.
The St. John’s Bible: By special permission, volumes from the St. John’s Bible, the only hand-written version of the bible since 15th century, are being used in worship today. Berea College has one of only 300 copies in the world of this magnificent work of art, originally commissioned by the St. John community in Collegeville, MN for the millennium. Filled with contemporary art, nature illustrations, and astonishing calligraphy, the volumes will be available after service for everyone to see. Please allow the attendant at each volume to turn the pages for you, however. We have been asked to be very careful with these treasures.
