Bombings in two places where Union Church funds have been used to help support poverty, refugee, and migrant relief programs were addressed in a joint statement from the United Church of Christ and the Disciples of Christ. These two denominations partner via One Great Hour of Sharing. Just 2 months ago Rev. Kent had visited the church in Cairo where some of our mission offering dollars have supported poverty programs for some of the most marginalized persons in the country. We weep with those who weep, and we join thousands of millions in working for a better world of peace with justice for all.
