Union Church cares about children, their gifts and graces, their welfare and the future they are helping us build.
On Sunday, October 16 as part of our “Faithfulness Growing by Leaps and Bounds” gratitude emphasis, we will celebrate International Children’s Sabbath. This is the “Bring Your Young Person” to church Sunday you don’t want to miss! It’s a worship service for all ages, but attending to all that helps support, sustain, and celebrate the healthy, joyful development of young people. And creating a culture of care for youth is what keeps us “more seasoned” disciples young and growing too. That’s why we put so much time, talent, and treasure into helping children, youth and adults. It’s why we build a budget that sustains teaching, loving mentorship, camping, and faith development. We support healthy children because we are ALL children of God.
DON’T MISS IT! Rev. Kent is planning an interactive sermon and will need all young hands on deck to help out. No one needs to prepare, just come! Care for children is something we all take for granted, but we are especially joining with congregations around the country to remember that our faith reaches and teaches justice and joy for all.
Join us! Bring the Kids! Bring the Neighbors! Bring the babies and the high schoolers. Our children are not our future. They are our precious and very important present!
