For eight years Berea Celtic Fest has produced one great event after the other with absolute quality Celtic music from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, England, Brittany, Galicia and across the North American continent.
This 3-day city-wide event of traditional, authentic and grassroots music is as good as it gets, when accomplished and committed musicians meet and offers sessions, workshops and concert.
This year’s “Celtic Gala Concert” will take place at Union Church and will also be a fundraiser and friendraiser for KEF – Kentucky Environmental Foundation and in cooperation with The Folk Circle Association of Berea.
Featured artists will include the festive and award-winning McTeggart Irish Dancers of Lexington, Four Leaf Peat of Knoxville, TN, Celtic Font (Mai Hernon/Ireland and Mick McEvilley/Cincinnati, OH), Set Course (Jeremy Wade and Justin Bridges), KY, Margaret Rush, Dublin, Ireland/Raleigh, NC, Skip Cleavinger and Rebecca Baumbach, Nashville, TN. and a few more.
This concert will begin at 8:00 PM and end around 10:15 PM, incl. a short intermission where you can meet KEF folks and buy CDs from the musicians.
