An update from our mission team at Back Bay:
Back Bay Mission has several arms of mission — from drop-in centers for homeless individuals, to food pantries, to housing recovery programs for people in need of home improvements. Our team from Berea is working on their newest initiative: the mission has purchased a foreclosed house and is “flipping” it to sell it at the lowest possible price as affordable housing for a qualified new homeowner.
Our team helped finish off a house today — a very exciting accomplishment! The last tasks included some caulking, fixing a gate, mowing the lawn and trimming up plants, and painting a garage floor (which Barb says is the most beautiful garage floor you ever did see)! The special paint included some Decorative Flakes, which really made the floors sparkle (and the jokes fly about who in the group was a decorative flake)! Check out some of our photos below.
