Who said we couldn’t pull off a Bazaar with no building and only limited yard space? Not the intrepid Mission and Service Board nor the many volunteers – young and old – who indeed made the 2012 Union Church Bazaar a huge success! It was a perfect fall day; the tables were filled with useful and no-so-useful-but-still-desirable items, gathered and sorted by a volunteer crew on Friday and early Saturday morning; the curious shoppers arrived; the trolley driver (Kevin) provided free advertising each time he pulled up to Boone Tavern; the quilt was raffled; money poured in; bargain hunters filled their bags the last half-hour; the clean-up crew hung in there; the Restore truck arrived; and all agreed: It was a Perfect Day.
